Sugar only attaches to the hair shaft and loose dead skin cells, leaving the live skin cells intact. This leads to a less painful hair extraction and less irritation.

Because Sugar does not attach to live skin cells you can apply sugar over the same area multiple times without causing irritation. 

Sugar Paste is water soluble - meaning it dissolves when it comes into contact with water. This results in less trauma to the skin and allows for easy removal from skin as well as clothing and other surfaces. 

Sugar paste can only be applied to skin at body temperature. If the paste gets too hot it will be too runny to pick up. Therefore there is no risk of burning the skin.
